Would you help a neighbor in need? For Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, the answer was a resounding ‘yes’ as it decided to consolidate with its affliate in Delaware County. Managing organizational change is extremely sensitive, so we set out to identify and address specific concerns head on.

Solution

Listening tours with public officials, funders, faith leaders and volunteers in each county uncovered perceptions of Habitat issues that needed to be addressed and key messages to communicate. The outreach also demonstrated that Habitat cares deeply about the opinions and feelings of constituents.
